Dear Members & Guests,
First of all, I hope you are all safe and well during these uncertain times.
I would just like to introduce myself to you, if you’re not already aware my name is Matt Jupp and I am extremely proud to be appointed as your new Head Greenkeeper and to be joining a forward-thinking golf club with big ambitions to take the golf course to the next level.
I bring with me over 14 years’ experience in the Sportsturf industry previously working in golf for many years before making the switch to football in 2014. During my time in the industry, I have been lucky to work at some world class venues including a European Tour venue in Germany, St Georges Park the home of the England National football team and most recently Aston Villa FC as well as gaining my FdSc Sportsturf Science & Management Degree.
I am now looking forward to using my knowledge & experience along with my dedicated team of greenkeepers in producing a golf course you can all be proud of.
I am only on day 2 of my service and already have held some very fruitful meetings with Dan Lowe, General Manager. As well as inheriting some brand new, quality machinery, I have now been given the go-ahead to recruit more staff that in turn will support me and assist in enhancing the golf course.
During my recruitment there was a big emphasis from the management put on completing unfinished projects such as tees, irrigation repairs and pathing as well as taking the utmost pride in how the golf course is presented.
I look forward to the new challenge and hope to see you all on the course very soon.
