NEW QUALIFYING RULES FOR MAJOR COMPETITIONS 2025.

The Men’s committee have acted on results from the World Handicap System. Under the section of General Play V’s Competitions.

The results have shown that some members are only entering the minimum number of qualifying Medal/Stableford competitions. Therefore, to ensure fairness for all members playing in major/board competitions the committee, with immediate notice, are amending the qualifying rules.

The new Rules:

Members need to have at least 20 scores recorded on the WHS platform, of which six need to be Medal/Stableford competitions or a combination of the two formats, over a twelve-month period.

When signing up to enter a major competition you will be giving the club/competition committee the authority to take the entrance fee off your membership card a week before the date of the draw.

Anyone who signs up and must withdraw after the entrance fee has been taken and has notified the committee of the withdraw will be refunded.

All members once they have signed up to a competition they are agreeing to the rules of that competition, and any member signing up to play in a major competition and fails to turn up to play will be suspended from the next three major competitions (depending on the reason).
