PGA Class AA Professional

Jak Hamblett

Jak has learned his trade from grass roots level.
He has been playing golf since the age of 3. He developed his love for the game growing up playing pitch and putt with his Dad. Achieving a single figure handicap at age 12.

As an amateur he captained Warwickshire County and made the England Squad.

Since turning Professional in 2007 he graduated from The PGA Foundation Degree earning a Merit Award in Golf Coaching and Sports Science.

After Graduating Jak went on to enjoy a successful playing career, reaching European Challenge Tour Level, winning a few notable tournaments along the way:
Midlands Professionals Championship, Midlands Tour Championship, Eagle Tour Order of Merit Winner along with numerous Pro-Am’s and County victories.

Jak has been through The Trackman University Program and is a Certified Trackman Instructor. He is also a AA PGA Qualified Professional.

Last year Jak worked alongside the up and coming Euro-Pro player James Adams. Adams this year gained a European Challenge Tour Card. The two regularly do combine tests, highlight anomalies and then discuss swing patterns and ball flight data.

Lessons with Jak aren’t just solely focused on your swing technique. He tries to develop golfer’s all-round games. Not just short game, putting, club selection, course management etc. Jak also gets his players to consider the mental and physical aspects of golf.

Jak quotes:

“You could swing it as good as Rory, but if you don’t learn how to face your fears and conquer your doubts, you can’t reach your full potential.”
“Preparation is one key to success. Check the weather, if it’s hot, take plenty of water. If it’s raining, ensure you have a rain glove. When you’re tired, it’s tough to concentrate, get an early night, pack a snack in your golf bag: Simple, but often overlooked things will save you shots.”

Summing up Jaks teaching philosophy: “let’s discover, what works for you.”
