Red Extreme Heat Health Alert

The Health Security Agency (UKHSA) in partnership with the Met Office have issued out a Red Warm Weather Alert with temperatures expected to reach 34 degree Celsius over the next few days.

If or when you smoke on the golf course please fully extinguish any cigarettes and ensure the butts are not hot before discarding them in the provided litter bins. Please DO NOT throw your smouldering cigarette butt into the dry grass.

Please allow extra time to navigate your way around, in extreme heat it is natural to walk slower.

Please ensure you have stocked up on fluids, sun cream and even an ice cream before teeing off.

Sun cream should be applied every 40-50 minutes

Use of an umbrella to keep you from the direct sunshine.

ALWAYS check in to the pro shop, especially if you are playing alone. This helps us monitor who is on the course and approximately where you were last located if you should become unwell with heat exhaustion.

Do not attempt to play golf if you already feel light headed, nauseous or have blurred vision and seek medical advice.
