Renewing your Vows
These ceremonies are for married couples or civil partners who wish to celebrate by renewing their vows in a unique and personal way.
Often these ceremonies are associated with a special anniversary however they are just as appropriate for couples at any stage of their marriage or civil partnership.
Many couples who marry or form a civil partnership abroad choose to renew their vows in a special event held for family and friends on their return.
Vow renewal ceremonies do not have any legal status.
There are a wide selection of poems and readings that can be included in the ceremony and read by the celebrant or family and friends. You will be able to choose unique promises to make to one another. A celebrant will conduct your ceremony, according to your choice of declarations, readings, music or other arrangements. A commemorative certificate signed by you, witnesses of your choice and the celebrant is provided as a memento of the occasion.
An original marriage or civil partnership certificate must be shown to the co-ordinator when booking your ceremony.
