Watering the Greens

After six months of either feast or famine regarding the amount of rainfall, we have had in the West Midlands area*.

The Greenkeeping team are out and about watering the individual greens.

Along with the irrigation system, the Head Green Keeper and his team also prefer to hand water the greens and apply a “Wetting Agent” to the specific area that needs it.
This will help to maintain healthy turf and a good playing surface whilst not wasting water.
Please Note* from the latest Environmental Agency rainfall data up to today (20th June 2023) for the West Midlands Area, we have only had 29% of the expected rainfall for this month (June 2023) and for last month (May 2023) we only had 58% of the expected rainfall. In the three months prior to this (February to April 2023) we had 109% of the expected average amount, which was 107mm (4.2 inches)
